Softball Recap: Linden Takes a Loss

Linden extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping their season record down to 2-6-1 in the process. They lost 17-2 to the Carteret Ramblers. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly 15 runs.

As for Carteret, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-11 record this season. The result was nothing new for Carteret, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

For Carteret's part, Arianna King was a standout: she went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Trinity Bernadino was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one stolen base.

Looking ahead, Linden will venture away from home to face off against Mount St. Mary Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Carteret, they will host Dunellen at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
