Basketball Recap: Imani Henderson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Atlantic Coast over Ribault

Atlantic Coast suffered their biggest defeat since February 14, 2024 on Friday. They lost 63-37 to the Ribault Trojans. The Stingrays haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Atlantic Coast's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Imani Henderson, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Chandler, who earned 12 points.

Ribault was led to victory by Jacoreyn Andrews and Trista Brown. Andrews went 7 of 12 en route to 15 points along with seven steals and six rebounds, while Brown almost dropped a double-double on nine assists and nine steals. That's the most points Andrews has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Terrannya Medlock, who scored ten points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Atlantic Coast's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4. As for Ribault, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.

Atlantic Coast has already played their next matchup, a 43-38 win against Fletcher on the 14th. As for Ribault, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 68-22 victory against Mandarin on the 14th.
