Basketball Recap: Council Rock South Comes Up Short

Council Rock South lost against Neshaminy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Council Rock South Golden Hawks were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 50-49 to the Neshaminy Skins. The Golden Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Neshaminy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jason Gilardi, who went 6 for 7 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Gilardi a new career-high in steals (two). Max Currie was another key player, going 5 of 7 on his way to 10 points and seven rebounds.

Council Rock South's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Neshaminy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Council Rock South wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 66-49 loss against Neumann-Goretti on the 15th. As for Neshaminy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-46 defeat against Council Rock North on the 17th.
