Basketball Game Preview: Ossining Pride vs. Rye Garnets

The Ossining Pride will face off against the Rye Garnets at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Rye will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Ossining extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Pride blew past Hendrick Hudson 67-38. The Pride have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 22 points or more this season.

Claire Schnecker had another great game (as she tends to do), dropping a double-double with 34 points and 17 boards. The matchup was her sixth in a row with at least 15 points. Ty'Asia Carver was another key player, putting up eight points along with nine rebounds and five steals.

Meanwhile, Rye scored the most points they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 68-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ossining. The Garnets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ossining's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Rye, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Ossining beat Rye 68-61 when the teams last played on Wednesday. Will the Pride repeat their success, or do the Garnets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
