Recap: Sebastian River Sharks vs. Treasure Coast Titans

After flying high against the South Fork Bulldogs on Monday, the Sebastian River Sharks came back down to earth. Sebastian River took a 38-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of Treasure Coast. Sebastian River was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Treasure Coast apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

Several Sharks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Samiya Adams, who scored 11 points. Adams is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayda Pickard, who scored 5 points along with 6 steals.

Treasure Coast found their leader in underclassman Reniah Flynn, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Flynn continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jade Ware, who scored 5 points along with 6 steals.

Sebastian River's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Treasure Coast, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sebastian River will challenge Space Coast at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Treasure Coast won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against John Carroll Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on December 6th. John Carroll Catholic's defense has only allowed 28.6 points per game this season, so Treasure Coast's offense will have their work cut out for Treasure Coast.
