Volleyball Recap: Omaha Central Takes a Loss

Omaha Central lost against Duchesne back in September of 2017, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Eagles took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals.

Despite the loss, Omaha Central saw an underclassman step up: freshman Presley Vacek had ten digs and one assist.

Duchesne can attribute much of their success to Sophia Ochoa, who had eight digs and two aces.

Omaha Central has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Duchesne, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-9.

Omaha Central has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Cornerstone Christian School on the 20th. As for Duchesne, they will take on Gross Catholic on the 30th.
