Volleyball Recap: Unity Christian Takes a Loss

Unity Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Douglas County Tigers. The Lions were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in August of 2023.

Brinzlee Painter paced Unity Christian's offense, picking up three kills. Painter got some help from Ella Claire Goodwin and her three assists. Finally, Anna Grace Wells kept Unity Christian's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Unity Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Douglas County, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

Unity Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Cass on the 23rd. As for Douglas County, they will square off against Lithia Springs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
