Dove Creek has gone 8-2 against Dolores recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will challenge the Bears at 6:00 p.m.

Dove Creek came up short against Monte Vista on Saturday, falling 3-0. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Dove Creek was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-16, 26-16.

Dolores had won two straight games and Layla Mitchell did her part to make it three last Saturday. The Bears were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Norwood thanks in part to Mitchell, who had 17 digs and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Dolores took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-13, 25-5.

Dolores' victory bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Dove Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.

Everything went Dove Creek's way against Dolores in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Dove Creek made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
