Basketball Game Preview: Lakeside Dragons vs. Bedford Bearcats

The Lakeside Dragons will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Bedford Bearcats at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Lakeside has struggled recently with six defeats in a row, while Bedford will arrive with three straight victories.

Last Wednesday, Lakeside came up short against Jefferson Area and fell 60-49.

Meanwhile, Bedford strolled past Revere with points to spare on Sunday, taking the game 70-54. Given the Bearcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 184th, while the Minutemen are ranked 389th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bedford is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.4 points per game. As for Lakeside, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
