Softball Recap: Bethany Community Takes a Loss

Bethany Community came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 13-3 to the McMichael Phoenix. The loss continues a trend for the Wolves in their meetings with the Phoenix: they've now lost five in a row.

Bethany Community saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mattie Southard, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Bethany Community's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for McMichael, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, Bethany Community is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will take on Morehead at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for McMichael, they will take on West Stokes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McMichael is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
