Softball Recap: Station Camp Bison vs. Portland Panthers
Station Camp was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They suffered a tough 13-3 defeat at the hands of the Portland Panthers. Station Camp was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Portland apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2021.
Station Camp saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylee Peyret, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly Shearer, who went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
Station Camp's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14-1. As for Portland, their win bumped their record up to 5-12.
Station Camp will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against White House-Heritage at 5:00 p.m. As for Portland, they will head out on the road to challenge Springfield at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Portland will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
