Softball Recap: Alvord Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Alvord can now relate to. They lost 11-0 to the Archer City Wildcats on Friday. The shutout was out of character for the Bulldogs seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Alvord saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Christensen, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Alvord's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Archer City, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-9.

Alvord does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Archer City, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-11 win against Tioga on the 1st.
