Soccer Recap: George Wythe Find Success

George Wythe's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. Their defense stepped up to hand the Honaker Tigers a 3-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for George Wythe, who have now won three games by three goals or more so far this season.

Mason Tate and Lucas Mabry scored all three of George Wythe's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

George Wythe now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Honaker, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. George Wythe will challenge Auburn at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Honaker, they will face off against Lebanon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lebanon will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Honaker surely won't give up without a fight.
