Basketball Recap: Brevard HEAT Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Brevard HEAT can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 69-27 loss at the hands of the Morningside Academy Eagles. The Firehawks haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Brevard HEAT lost on Monday, don't look at Noah Ojala. Despite the final result, he posted six points.

It was another big night for AJ Chang, who almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine assists for Morningside Academy. The contest was Chang's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Stephen Moss was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine boards.

Brevard HEAT's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Morningside Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season.

Brevard HEAT does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Morningside Academy has also already played their next game, a 57-39 loss against St. Edward's on the 5th.
