Volleyball Recap: Odyssey Institute Takes a Loss

Odyssey Institute managed to slip by ALA - West Foothills the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Minotaur came up short against the Guardians on Wednesday, falling 3-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Minotaur haven't been shut out since back in September.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-20, 25-19.

When it comes to explaining why Odyssey Institute lost, don't look at Caitlin Celestino. Despite the final result, she had 13 digs and one assist.

Odyssey Institute's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 15-11. As for ALA - West Foothills, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-6.

Odyssey Institute has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Yuma Catholic on the 23rd. As for ALA - West Foothills, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Highland Prep on the 23rd.
