Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lubbock). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Palo Duro Dons an 18-0 shutout on Friday. Considering the Westerners have won seven matchups by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Lubbock now has a winning record of 11-10-1. As for Palo Duro, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-19.

Coming up, Lubbock will challenge Coronado at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Palo Duro, they will head out on the road to challenge Tascosa at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rebels have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.14 runs per game on average), something the Dons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
