Baseball Recap: Stevens Takes a Loss

Stevens was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 11-6 to the Monadnock Huskies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 9-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Stevens saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Minkler, who went 1-for-4 with one run. Caleb Jones also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Stevens now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Monadnock, the victory (which was their seventh in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Stevens is set to face off against their familiar foe Newport at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Monadnock will square off against rival Kearsarge at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
