Lourdes came tearing into Monday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.2 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 6-3 margin over the La Crescent Lancers. Given Lourdes' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota soccer rankings (they are ranked 46th, while La Crescent are ranked 144th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lourdes' victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for La Crescent, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5-1.
