Brookfield's win ends three-game losing streak at home

Recap: Brookfield Warriors vs. Garfield G-Men

The Brookfield Warriors's four-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They came out on top against Garfield by a score of 64-52. With that win, Brookfield brought their scoring average up to 50.4 points per game.

Brookfield had a senior duo take command as Matteo Fortuna scored 33 points along with nine rebounds and five assists and Nevon Hoffman scored 18 points along with seven assists and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fortuna has scored all season. Judah Dejoy was another key contributor, scoring four points along with two steals.

Several G-Men players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cade Rock, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Rock hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Gedeon, who scored 17 points.

Brookfield's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-7. As for Garfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brookfield will take on Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Garfield, they will head out on the road to take on Champion at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Champion's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Garfield has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
