Basketball Game Preview: Brunswick Railroaders vs. Southern Rams

Having just played yesterday, the Brunswick Railroaders will get right back to it and host the Southern Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Brunswick lost to Walkersville at home by a 56-40 margin.

Meanwhile, Southern ended up a good deal behind Hedgesville on Monday and lost 63-46. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 171st in Maryland, while the Eagles are ranked 32nd in West Virginia).

Brunswick's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Southern, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season.

Brunswick came up short against Southern when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 46-37. Thankfully for Brunswick, Isaiah Keller (who went 8 of 13 en route to 22 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
