Basketball Recap: White Station Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Kyndall Reynolds and Amare Boothe

White Station lost against Memphis East back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The White Station Spartans received a blow as they fell 66-52 to the Memphis East Mustangs. The Spartans' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

White Station's loss came despite strong showings from Amare Boothe and Kyndall Reynolds. Boothe went 6 for 14 en route to 20 points, while Reynolds went 8 of 16 on her way to 18 points and three steals. Boothe's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Lily Pruitt was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Memphis East's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kieren Smith, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 boards. The dominant performance gave Smith a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ashlee Sinkfield, who went 7 of 12 en route to 16 points.

White Station's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Memphis East, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-4.

White Station will square off against Memphis Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. White Station is facing Memphis Central at the right time seeing as Memphis Central is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Memphis East, they and Kingsbury will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played.
