Soccer Recap: Horizon Comes Up Short

Horizon lost against El Dorado back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Horizon Scorpions fell just short of the El Dorado Aztecs by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Scorpions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 384th, while the Aztecs are ranked 60th).

This is the second loss in a row for Horizon and nudges their season record down to 5-7. As for El Dorado, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Horizon didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-2 loss against Americas on the 8th. As for El Dorado, they have also already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Parkland on the 8th.
