Basketball Recap: Whitefish Bay Takes a Loss

If Whitefish Bay was feeling good fresh off their 81-34 takedown of West Bend East last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes were outmatched by the Slinger Owls and fell 71-44. The match marked the Blue Dukes' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Whitefish Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Slinger, they pushed their record up to 19-2 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Whitefish Bay will face off against Homestead at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Homestead will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Whitefish Bay surely won't give up without a fight. As for Slinger, they will take on Nicolet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Nicolet knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 20 games -- so hopefully Slinger likes a good challenge.
