Soccer Game Preview: Canyon Springs vs. Lakeside

The Canyon Springs Cougars will challenge the Lakeside Lancers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Canyon Springs duked it out withUniversity Prep last Friday. Neither Canyon Springs nor University Prep could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time the Cougars have been dealt a draw since back in December of 2024.

Meanwhile, Lakeside entered their match against Vista Murrieta on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Lakeside took a 6-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Vista Murrieta. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 346th, while the Broncos are ranked 119th).

Canyon Springs' draw makes their record 5-4-2 this season. As for Lakeside, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-4.
