Volleyball Recap: Mesquite Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Mesquite challenged Peoria on Tuesday. Mesquite fell just short of Peoria by a score of 3-2. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mesquite wouldn't go down easily and took Peoria into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-15, 25-22, 21-25, 15-13.

Mesquite suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 3-2. As for Peoria, their win bumped their record up to 4-8.

Coming up, Mesquite will be playing at home against Cactus at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Peoria, they will venture away from home to challenge Paradise Honors at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
