Belen Jesuit is a perfect 3-0 against Miami Springs since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Belen Jesuit Wolverines will welcome the Miami Springs Golden Hawks at 6:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Belen Jesuit 3.9, Miami Springs 1.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Belen Jesuit will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Friday, then bounced right back against Southwest on Saturday. Belen Jesuit was the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over Southwest.

Marcelo Llorente looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Belen Jesuit is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-6 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Orlando Montiel was incredible, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Andres Gross was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Belen Jesuit kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.3 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 9.6.
Meanwhile, Miami Springs waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Golden Hawks have posted since May 2, 2024.
Kaiser Alvarez looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Miami Springs saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Magdiel Estevez, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Another was Jordany Gonzalez, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
Belen Jesuit has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. Miami Springs' win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Belen Jesuit has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Miami Springs struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Belen Jesuit came out on top in a nail-biter against Miami Springs when the teams last played back in February of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. Will Belen Jesuit repeat their success, or does Miami Springs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
