River Valley is a perfect 10-0 against Chino Valley since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. River Valley will head out to challenge Chino Valley at 3:45 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (River Valley has four straight wins, Chino Valley has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
While River Valley's victory against Kingman wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. River Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against Kingman on Wednesday, sneaking past 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Dust Devils have posted since March 8, 2024.

Sophia Reyes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on two hits and racked up ten Ks. That's the most strikeouts she has posted over her last ten games.
On the hitting side, River Valley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cherity Gonzalez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double. That double was Gonzalez's first of the season.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Chino Valley's offense. They fell 5-0 to Camp Verde on Thursday.
Chino Valley also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Kinsey Murphy gave up only one earned (and four unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 16 Ks. Murphy has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
Chino Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for River Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3-1.
Chino Valley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: River Valley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .425. It's a different story for Chino Valley, though, as they've only averaged .248. Will they be able to contain River Valley's hitters?
