Volleyball Game Preview: Winter Park Wildcats vs. Timber Creek Wolves + How To Watch

The Winter Park Wildcats will venture away from home to face off against the Timber Creek Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Winter Park will be looking to extend their current 18-game winning streak.

Winter Park had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Bishop Moore on Thursday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Hornets.

Winter Park not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Bishop Moore between 15 and 17 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-15, 25-17.

Isabel Bertelsen was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 13 digs and four assists. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Timber Creek had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Cougars as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Timber Creek was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-14, 25-10.

Timber Creek's win bumped their record up to 15-10. As for Winter Park, their victory bumped their record up to 24-1.

Winter Park was able to grind out a solid win over Timber Creek in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
