Football Game Preview: East Texas Homeschool Sports Chargers vs. Tyler HEAT

East Texas Homeschool Sports is a perfect 3-0 against Tyler HEAT since October of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Chargers will host Tyler HEAT at 12:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Thursday, East Texas Homeschool Sports had to suffer through a 64-18 loss at the hands of Union Hill. The game marked the Chargers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Chris Mason, who picked up 97 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 72-22, which was the final score in Tyler HEAT's tilt against Westlake Academy on Friday. While losing is never fun, Tyler HEAT can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 156th, while Westlake Academy is ranked 45th).

Tyler HEAT's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-3. As for East Texas Homeschool Sports, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Everything came up roses for East Texas Homeschool Sports against Tyler HEAT in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 52-0 win. Will the Chargers repeat their success, or do Tyler HEAT have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
