Football Game Preview: Springville Red Devils vs. Box Elder Bees + Official Tickets

The Springville Red Devils will face off against the Box Elder Bees at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Springville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 49-14 victory over Spanish Fork. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Red Devils' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Utah football rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Dons are ranked 62nd).

Tua Naufahu produced another solid performance rushing for 102 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries, while also catching one TD. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up 0.5 sacks, made 11 total tackles, and defended one pass. Lisiate Valeti was another key player, rushing for 101 yards on only nine carries.

Meanwhile, Box Elder had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against the Longhorns as they made off with a 35-13 win.

Springville's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Box Elder, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.

Springville didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Box Elder in their previous meeting back in October of 2018, but they still walked away with a 17-13 victory.
