Basketball Recap: Calvary Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Calvary Christian Academy played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Arthur-Okaw Christian Conquering Riders 78-46. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 54-24.

Leading Arthur-Okaw Christian to victory were Kyson Pflum and Brock Helmuth. Pflum went 9 for 10 en route to 21 points and five boards, while Helmuth went 9 of 15 on his way to 21 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. With that strong performance, Helmuth is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Another player making a difference was Cody Kuhns, who posted 12 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Calvary Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 6-14. As for Arthur-Okaw Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.
