Soccer Game Preview: Hempstead vs. Navasota

Hempstead is 1-9 against Navasota since February of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Hempstead Bobcats will face off against the Navasota Rattlers at 7:15 p.m.

Hempstead is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They came up short against Sealy, falling 5-0.

Meanwhile, Navasota entered their tilt with Harmony School of Innovation on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They never let the Mustangs onto the board and left with a 5-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Rattlers, who have now won five contests by five goals or more so far this season.

Navasota pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those four games. As for Hempstead, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6-1.

Hempstead might still be hurting after the 9-0 loss they got from Navasota in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Hempstead avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
