After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Nazareth Academy, Marist was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They managed a 57-52 win over the Carmel Corsairs. This was a revenge game for the RedHawks: when they faced off against the Corsairs back in December of 2025, they had to take a 43-34 loss.

Liv Johnson and Josie Hartman certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Johnson went 6-for-13 en route to 19 points along with six boards and three steals, while Hartman posted 19 points. Maliyah Mays was another key player, putting up four points and five assists.

Marist's victory bumped their record up to 22-8. As for Carmel, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marist will welcome Saint Ignatius College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Carmel, they will host Libertyville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
