Basketball Recap: Cedar Vale/Dexter Comes Up Short

Cedar Vale/Dexter was the 43-31 winner over Argonia when they last played one another back in February of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans had to suffer through a 48-17 loss at the hands of the Raiders. The contest marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Tori Morrison produced another solid effort going 9-for-14 on her way to 22 points and four steals for Argonia. Those 22 points gave Morrison a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kara Jones, who posted ten points along with five assists and three steals.

Cedar Vale/Dexter has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Argonia, the victory was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-2.

Looking ahead, Cedar Vale/Dexter will head out on the road to face off against Udall at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Argonia, they will welcome Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
