Softball Recap: King Takes a Loss

King has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.85 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Summer Creek Bulldogs. Considering the last time the Panthers couldn't score was back in February, the team can't take the result too hard.

King's defeat dropped their record down to 16-10-1. As for Summer Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. King is set to take on their familiar foe Humble at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Summer Creek will challenge rival Goose Creek Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 2.7, the Patriots 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
