Basketball Recap: North Sanpete's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Canyon View, North Sanpete was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They snuck past the Juab Wasps with a 56-51 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Hawks as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

North Sanpete's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Evie Kendall, who posted 16 points along with five boards and four steals. Kendall has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sadie Job, who had 17 points.

Juab's loss came despite strong showings from Hailee Hall and Ashlyn Wright. Hall almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds, while Wright earned 16 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mollie Blankenagel, who put up nine points.

North Sanpete's record now sits at 2-7. As for Juab, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

North Sanpete didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-43 victory against Delta on the 17th. As for Juab, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 51-44 win against Canyon View on the 17th.
