Basketball Recap: Grace Prep Takes a Loss

Grace Prep lost against Midland Christian back in February of 2015 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Grace Prep Lions were dealt a 55-25 loss at the hands of the Midland Christian Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 900th, while the Mustangs are ranked 120th).

This is the second loss in a row for Grace Prep and nudges their season record down to 7-10. As for Midland Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grace Prep will venture away from home to face off against Southwest Christian School at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Midland Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Grapevine Faith Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Midland Christian has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 176 points over their last three matchups.
