Baseball Game Preview: Gonzaga Eagles vs. St. John's Cadets

Gonzaga is 1-9 against St. John since May of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Eagles will host the Cadets at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Gonzaga turned things around against Bishop McNamara on Wednesday. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Mustangs.

Meanwhile, St. John's was able to grind out a solid win over St. Mary's Ryken on Thursday, taking the game 4-1.

St. John's victory bumped their record up to 13-8-1. As for Gonzaga, their win bumped their record up to 14-8.

Gonzaga got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March against St. John's by a conclusive 6-0 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Cadets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
