Volleyball Recap: Columbus Takes a Loss

Columbus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Central Lee Hawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Central Lee, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Columbus wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Wilton on the 2nd. As for Central Lee, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Keokuk on the 4th.
