Baseball Game Preview: Harrison Huskies vs. Fox Lane Foxes

For the second straight game, Harrison will face off against Fox Lane. The Huskies will welcome the Foxes at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Harrison managed to slip by Fox Lane the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Huskies lost 11-1 to the Foxes on Monday. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Fox Lane's part, Brady Hopkins tossed a big game, tossing 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

On the hitting side, Will Rudolph and Logan Mammola did most of the damage at the plate: Rudolph went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Mammola went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most hits Mammola has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Logan Provost, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Fox Lane was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The win made it two in a row for Fox Lane and bumps their season record up to 5-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Harrison, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
