Baseball Recap: Cherokee County Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Cherokee County extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping them up to 9-11. They came out on top against the White Plains Wildcats by a score of 10-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-1 on Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Owen Jacoway, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2025.

As for White Plains, they dropped their record down to 8-11 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly four runs.

On White Plains' side, Crew Martin made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Laube, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cherokee County will host Cleburne County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for White Plains, they will take on Munford at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
