Walthill is 8-2 against Winside since January of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Walthill Blujays will take on the Winside Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Tuesday, Walthill lost to Madison at home by a 66-51 margin.

Meanwhile, Winside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against Omaha Nation, falling 75-49. The Wildcats were down 55-33 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Walthill will need focus on slowing down Caleb Offner, one of several Winside players who made an impact when they last played. He dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 boards. That's the most points Offner has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Brayden Lurz, who posted ten points and eight rebounds.

Even though they lost, Winside smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Walthill's record is now 5-8. As for Winside, their record now sits at 1-11.

Walthill strolled past Winside in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a score of 55-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Walthill since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
