Recap: St. Mary's Knights vs. Buckeye Hawks
The St. Mary's Knights were the 34-31 winner over the Buckeye Hawks when they last played one another back in November of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. St. Mary's suffered a tough 45-19 loss at the hands of Buckeye on Thursday. St. Mary's defeat continues a unfortunate trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
It was another big night for Darius Haskin, who picked up 275 receiving yards and five touchdowns. Haskin was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 68 yards. Another player making a difference was Zachary Bennett, who threw for 148 yards and three touchdowns while completing 91.7% of his passes.
St. Mary's has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Buckeye, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
St. Mary's will be playing at home against Thunderbird at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. As for Buckeye, they will head out on the road to face off against Lake Havasu at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd.
