Sargent is a perfect 5-0 against Dolores since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Sargent Farmers will venture away from home to challenge the Dolores Bears at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Sargent is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Sierra Grande on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Sargent took a blow against Sierra Grande, falling 79-41. While losing is never fun, the Farmers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 278th, while the Panthers are ranked 117th).

Meanwhile, Dolores came up short against Ouray on Friday and fell 49-39. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sargent dropped their record down to 5-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Dolores, their loss dropped their record down to 5-13.

Sargent beat Dolores 61-48 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sargent since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
