After a string of three wins, Charlotte's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They lost to the Sexton Big Reds on the road by a 34-18 margin. The Orioles were not able to make up for their loss to the Big Reds from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Even if they lost, Charlotte's defensive line still kept up the pressure with five sacks. Kolton Sanderson was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.

Charlotte's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 3-2. As for Sexton, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-3.
