Springfield Southeast has no trouble against Lanphier

The Springfield Southeast Spartans won the last time they faced the Lanphier Lions, and things went their way on Saturday too. Springfield Southeast enjoyed a cozy 47-31 win over Lanphier.
Marisa Gant was her usual excellent self, scoring 14 points along with two steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. Another player making a difference was Zaria Weston, who scored four points along with six steals.
Springfield Southeast's victory bumped their record up to 9-14. As for Lanphier, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springfield Southeast will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Springfield presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Springfield Southeast in Illinois (Springfield is ranked 113th, while Springfield Southeast is ranked 281st). As for Lanphier, they will head out on the road to take on Rochester at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rochester has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
