Baseball Recap: Friona Takes a Loss

Friona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Dimmitt Bobcats, falling 21-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chieftans of the 12-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Jameson Daniels made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged three or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Friona's record is now 1-10. As for Dimmitt, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Coincidentally, Friona and Dimmitt will both be playing Shallowater the next time they take the field. Dimmitt will host Shallowater at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Friona will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on March 18th.
