Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Willow Canyon). They blew past the Kellis Cougars 16-3 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won five in a row.

Caleb Lemau looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Cameron Davidson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two triples, two stolen bases, and three runs. He is on a roll when it comes to triples, as he's now hit at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Malachi Lemau, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs.

Willow Canyon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Willow Canyon's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Kellis, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Willow Canyon beat the Cougars by a score of 17-4 on Wednesday.
