Softball Recap: Bishop Carroll's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Bishop Carroll waltzed into their match on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They never let the Heights Falcons get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Golden Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Bishop Carroll let Olivia Navarro and Paige Stroot run wild. Navarro went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Stroot went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs Navarro has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Emerson May, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Bishop Carroll always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .692. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Heights only posted an OBP of .182.

Bishop Carroll pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for Heights, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Bishop Carroll beat the Falcons by a score of 15-0 later that day.
