Volleyball Recap: Lincoln Railsplitters vs. Ottawa Pirates
The Lincoln Railsplitters were able to grind out a solid win over the Ottawa Pirates on Saturday, taking the game 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Railsplitters.
Lily Holmes paced Lincoln's offense, picking up eight kills. Holmes got some help from Lauren Tedrick and her 16 assists. Gracie Adams controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
The victory got Lincoln back to even at 12-12. As for Ottawa, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17-2 record this season.
Lincoln wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Tri-Valley on the 11th. As for Ottawa, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Mt. Zion on the 11th.
